ArmInfo. Armenian economic growth in 2017 will register 2.5% growth with 3% acceleration in 2018, OON Economic and Social Research in Asia and the Pacific 2017 report reads on GDP Armenia growth.
According to OON experts, expected economic growth in Russia will allow to promote money flows affluence to Armenia, which has 13% deal in GDP.
OON report reads that the extension of family benefits program will be beneficial in consumer spending, especially household with low profit. Besides, economic activeness will promote the construction of railway roads from Iran to Russia through Armenia and Georgia.
At the same time, OON notes that fiscal support in Armenia in years to come will be less strong, as state dept relation increase to GDP entrance in 50% demands budget policy toughening.
Besides, OON forecasts that at consumer's market, after disinflation in 2016, will come price growth in 2017 for 1.5%, and in 2018 for 3%.
To note, the World Bank forecasts Armenian GDP growth at 2.7% for 2017, the IMF - at 3.4%, the Eurasian Development Bank - at 2.9%, Fitch - at 2.1%, and the Armenian state budget mentions 3.2% GDP growth for 2017. According to the forecast made by the CBA in February, GDP growth in Armenia is expected to be 2.2-3.2% in 2017.
To note, guided by the Government's decision dated 25 Jan 2011, the National Statistics Service of Armenia publishes the economic activity (in percentage) on a monthly basis. As regards the quarterly and annual absolute value of GDP, the Service published it 60- 90 days after the period under review.
