ArmInfo. There is no new agenda on financing support project from IMF yet, according to Armenian Finance Minister Vardan Aramyan's statement on May 4 during Government session. Current support project IMF within EFF.
EFF Armenia will be finished this summer. Despite absence of agreements on new support projects, according to Aramyan, Armenian side expressed its wishes to IMF partners.
"New projects from IMF will help not only to fill currency reserve of Central Bank, and to protect Armenia from foreign shocks.Our cooperation with IMF promotes also forming the vision of reformation procedures and continuing already started economy reform", Aramyan stressed, adding that they can come to this issue next September.
The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) completed the fourth review of Armenia's performance under a three-year arrangement under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF), the official website of IMF reports. The completion enables the release of SDR 15.65 million (about US$21.24 million), bringing total disbursements under the arrangement to SDR 66.52 million (about US$90.28 million). The extended arrangement for SDR 82.21 million (about US$111.57 million) was approved on March 7, 2014.
