ArmInfo. In the State Revenue Committee of Armenia they think about financial motivation of the employees. "The public opinion that the salary of the SRC employees is high is not right. And we work on raising the salaries of the employees of the Committee", the Head of the Department Vardan Harutyunyan stated on May 11 answering the question on effectiveness and reasonability of bonus payments to the Committee's staff against the backdrop of widespread optimization in state bodies and a secret decision to reduce the state sector's staff base.
According to Harutyunyan, following the reforms in the department for the last 3 months, it can be said with certainty that the quality of the work of the Committee has changed significantly. "I take this opportunity to thank the SRC staff for their good work," he said.
At the same time, the Head of the Customs-Tax Service, mentioning the last development around illegal traffic of Azerbaijani apples to Armenia and the participation of the Committee's officials. The best incentive for a good job, according to Harutyunyan, can be a high salary. According to him, today salaries in the system, if compared to salaries in many taxpayers, are very low. The average salary in the system should not be less than 300-350 thousand AMD, noted the head of the SRC, against the current 150-200 thousand.
As Vardan Harutyunyan assured, unprecedented reforms are coming in the near future. As a result of the reforms, we can expect both staff reductions and staff salaries.
