ArmInfo. At the session of Armenian Metal Makers and Miner Union taken place on May 11, the Chairman of the Union was elected Hayk Aloyan, the Chief Executive of Lydian Armenia.
The candidacy of Hayk Aloyan was proposed by Maxim Hakobyan, the Chairman of the Union, who justified own initiative with professional and human abilities of Lydian Armenia Executive. Vadran Margaryan, Meghradzor Gold Company Director, agreed with Hakobyan's opinion.
Presenting own vision of the activities of the Union, Hayk Aloyan mentioned that all the members of organization should join their efforts to solve the common problems of the mining sector, to make own work more transparent and to open it for the public, which should support the development of the sector and to increase the reputability of mining industries entities. The Union members discussed a number of important issues of the sector, as well as the problems of human resources and increase of educational level. These issues should be in the focus of the union attention. The board members accentuated that this structure lead by Hayk Aloyan could join together all the stakeholder entities, starting the effective cooperation with all state bodies. It was mentioned also that Aloyan will be able to lead the sector to a new level.
According to the voting results, Hayk Aloyan was elected the Union Chairman, and the former head Maxim Hakobyan became a Honorable Chairman.
