ArmInfo. Vahan Martirosyan, the Armenian Minister of Transport, Communications and IT discussed the dimensions of possible cooperation in the sector of transport and road construction with representatives of large companies in China on the margins of his visit to Beijing.
According to the information shared with ArmInfo at the press office of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and IT, during his meeting with the Vice-President of Chinese Poly Company, the prospective of cooperation has been discussed. It is planned to arrange the visit of Poly Company representatives to Armenia in the nearest future, during which the possible aspects f cooperation will be discussed in details.
Vahan Martirosyan met also the Vice-President of Avic Company. The Compamy is specialized in the field of infrastructures design. Agreements were reached in respect to further cooperation development in the sector of road construction.
To note, Armenian-Chinese trade turnover in January-December 2016 formed USD 454 mln 36,4 thousnad. This indicator decreased versus past year for 5,7%. In January-February 2017 the foreign trade turnover between Armenia and China formed USD 81,4 mln (annual growth for 51,4%), from which the share of import forms USD 63,7 mln (annual growth for 65,9%), and of export - USD 17,8 mln (annual growth for 15,3%).
