ArmInfo. Armenian interbank during the period of MAY 15-20 increased the volume for 41,8%,after the growth only for 2% a week before. Simultaneously with that, the weekly trend going down in respect to dollar, euro and ruble based transactions sharply changed with growing either due to buy and sell. It is notable that within this, after a long sleep the currency platform is awake, showing very simple results on may 17 and 21 - USD 200 thousand each.
In the result of this AMD for the week reported continued its appreciation from 484 to 483 /USD 1, starting depreciation to euro - from 526 to 541 / EUR 1, strengthening at that its positions to RR at the level of AMD 8,5/ RR1 .
According to the information shared with ArmInfo at the press office of Armenian Central Bank, for the period of May 15-20 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia 400 transactions were made with the average rate at AMD 483, 20 /USD 1. At that, for the reported week the interbank showed transactions at total value of $8.650 within the average rate at AMD 483,73/USD 1 (versus former 484,16). Particularly, the interbank opened the week with large volumes of UD 2-2,7 mln, decreasing those a bit on Thursday and Friday down to $1.4-1.950 mln, and closed the week with the minimum of USD 600 thousand on Saturday.
Concurrently with that the intrabank forex market the volume of USD buy/sell changed its 32,8-32%- dropdown for 60,1-68%- growth, with EUR from 54-19,3 % dropdown to 114,3-34,5% growth, RR - from 45,5 - 38,7% dropdown to 150,7 -41,2% growth.. As a result, USD 86,6 mln has been bought with an average rate at AMD 482, 84 / USD 1, EUR 10, 5 mln with an average rate of AMD 531,73/EUR 1, and RR1,4 bln with an average rate at AMD 8,45/RR 1. The sales volume was USD 94,7 mln at average rate for AMD 484,36/USD 1, EUR 15,2 mln with average rate at AMD 353,12/EUR 1, and RR 415,3 mln at average rate at AMD 8,55/ RR1.
According to the source, for the previous week Armenian banks issued AMD based loans for AMD 30.2 bln and USD based loans for USD 29,9 mln.
