ArmInfo. World Congress of Information Technologies will be held in Armenia in 2019 on the topic of "keeping the promise of the digital age", Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan was informed on June 7 during the meeting with President of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance Ms. Yvonne Chiu.

According to Armenian Government press service, in this regard, Yvonne Chiu expressed readiness to more tense cooperation with Armenia. "Convinced that the 2019 conference will add momentum to the progress in the IT sector," she stressed.

From his side, Karapetyan assured that Armenian Government will put all efforts to conduct World Congress in Armenia at high level. "We will be preparing for the forum with a sense of great responsibility," Karen Karapetyan noted, stressing that it has been recording an annual growth of 20- 25% in recent years, while the growth potential is much greater.

At the same time, Karen Karapetyan highlighted the development of technological education in our country, noting that the State is taking steps to that effect in the schools and the university system.
