Agriculture Ministry: strong  hail damaged crops in Armenian Armavir district  the day before

ArmInfo. Armenian Agriculture Ministry adjusts  the amount of damage from the hail that fell yesterday  in Yerevan, as well as in a  number of adjacent areas, according to the department's press service.

According to the information, Deputy Agriculture Minister Ashot Harutyunyan from early morning is in Armavir district to adjust the amount of damage, done by the hail in that district. According to the preliminary data, hail damaged 9 communities in the district of Etchmiadzin.

At the moment, the press service refrained to name how many hectares and what crops were most damaged.  To assess the state of affairs in the Armavir districy and organize operational measures in order to reduce the damage caused by the hail to a minimum, a commission will be formed in the Ministry of Agriculture of Armenia. More information was promised to be shared later.
