KFW German Development bank intends to implement regular program on biodiversity protection program in Armenia

ArmInfo. Armenian Minister of Environmental Protection Artsvik Minasyan met with the delegation of the German Development Bank KfW, which included the head of the program "Promotion of the specially protected territories of the Caucasus-Armenia" Andreas Veitsel, KfW representative Thomas Eisenbach and representative of the Armenian office of KFW Zara Chatinyan.

According to the department press service, Minasyan, expressing gratitude to the Government of Germany for the support, stressed the necessity of bringing cooperation to a new, qualified level.

During the meeting, head of the department submitted considered reforms in the sphere of protection of environment, noting the importance of forming unite system in the management policy on the protection of forests and conservation areas.

From his side, Andreas Veitsel stressed: "We have always paid  special importance to cooperation with Armenia, and at the moment we are preparing a third generation program under the working title "Biodiversity Assistance Program in Armenia", which is aimed at further development and improvement of the management system for protecting forests and conservation  areas ".
