ArmInfo. From July 8 to July 9, 2017, Festival of Ecotourism will be held in the village of Artavan, Aragatsotn district of Armenia, one of the organizers of the forthcoming event, the chairman of the Jermuk Development Center, Vazgen Galstyan stated at a press conference in Yerevan on July 4.
The aim of the festival, Vazgen Galstyan continued, is to turn the village of Artavan and the whole district into a center for ecological tourism. And this is not accidental, since the Aragatsotn district of Armenia, and in particular the village of Artavan, is rich with its flora and fauna. According to him, unlike the previous year's festival, in 2017 the participants of the event are waiting for a rich and diverse program. In particular, the participants of the event are waiting for an exciting game called "Treasure Hunt". In the game will participate 10 teams with an average age of participants from 18 to 35 years. Participants will look for treasures, solving various problems and problems. Winners will receive prizes as prizes. The participants of the game will participate in the festival for free, and the remaining participants will have to pay 11 thousand drams for 2 days of stay. In addition to the game, excursions and observations of butterflies will also be organized. There are guest houses in the village, where you can stay at very affordable prices, and the residents of the village will prepare food for a fee, in accordance with the preferences of the festival participants. The participants will be provided with ambulance cars, Armenian police and EMERCOM of Armenia, who will be nearby and will be able to come and provide necessary assistance at any time.
In his turn, First Deputy Chairman of State Tourism Committee of Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia Mekhak Apresyan noted that the initiative is of great importance from the point of view of tourism development in the region. In this direction roads will be renovated to provide more comfortable movement of tourists and other participants of the festival. "Such festivals allow us to introduce the nature and beauty of Armenia to foreign tourists, and they can also become a platform for the development of other types of tourism in Armenia."
