In Jan-June of 2017, extent of air transportation in Armenia increased by 29.3%

ArmInfo. In Jan-June of 2017, 1,094 million people used the services of two airports in Armenia, which exceeds the figures for the same period in 2016 by 29.3%.  According to Armenian DGCA press service message, only  in June of this year 211 252 passengers were transported through Yerevan airport, which is 20.5% higher than in June of the previous year. In total, the growth of passenger air transportation in January-June of this year. Through the airport "Zvartnots" was equal to 26.1%. Through the main harbor of the country in the first half of 2017, 10912 tons of cargo were transported, which is 70.4% higher than the same period last year.

In June 2017, 7744 passengers used the services of Gyumri airport Shirak, which is by 1558% similar figures for the previous year. In the first half of this year, passenger traffic through the Gyumri airport in comparison with the same period in 2016 grew by 402.1%.

In both airports, according to the data of DGCA, during the reporting period, the number of flights and boarding increased by 24.5%.
