ArmInfo. It is necessary to review the process for granting state property for rent, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan stated at the meeting of the Armenian Government on August 10.
According to him, studies in this area have revealed a number of violations. In particular, there are cases when the object was leased at an obviously understated price, or the real estate was fictitiously rented at a low price, and then retested sublease for a higher price.
Besides, as Prime Minister stressed that there are obvious gaps in terms of monitoring the implementation of the investment program for real estate. The problem, according to the head of government, is that there is a discrepancy between the cadastral and market value of real estate, as well as inadequate control over the implementation of investment obligations.
In this regard, Karen Karapetyan instructed the head of Committee on State Property Management Arman Sahakyan, as well as the head of State Committee of Cadastre of real estate to Martin Sargsyan for a month to discuss and submit to the government staff proposals on the revision of the current procedure for the rental of real estate.
