ArmInfo. Cooperation issues in the field of civil aviation were discussed in Yerevan by General Department of Civil Aviation of China Wang Chitsing and GDCA deputy head Arsen Poghosyan.

Poghosyan, particularly stressed that to stimulate air communication, Armenia liberalized visa regime with a number of countries, including China. Chinese officials, in turn, expressed interest in organizing direct flights between China and Armenia. The issue of retraining of specialists was also discussed.

During the meeting between the Armenian and Chinese governments, a new agreement on direct air communication was initialed and a Memorandum of Understanding between the aviation authorities of the two countries was signed Arsen Petrosyan received an offer from his Chinese counterpart to visit China and discuss practical steps on the ground for flights between Armenia and China with representatives of Chinese airlines.
