ArmInfo. The Department of Pre-Customs Control of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia for June-August 2017 revealed 71 cases of violation of customs rules, 10 of them when transporting goods transported from the EEU countries.
As reported by the press service of the Armenian State Commission of Armenia, 26 of the recorded cases of customs offenses relate to illegal trafficking in narcotic and psychotropic substances.
In general, in the course of 2017, 159 cases of violation of customs rules were recorded by the Pre-customs control of the SRC RA, of which 23 during the transportation of goods from the EEU countries, and 63 - of illegal traffic in narcotic and psychotropic substances. Cases of illegal transportation of various goods, including gold and silver jewelry, cosmetics, appliances, cell phones, building materials, medical equipment, agricultural and food products, have also been prevented. Attempts to import undeclared or incorrectly declared goods to Armenia are recorded.
