ArmInfo.Armenian Minister of Emergency Situations David Tonoyan took part in opening of First International exhibition of high technologies of Arm-Security- 2017(Safe Armenia) held in Yerevan from Sept 02 to 04 and got acquainted with presented expositions.
In the course of the conversation with journalists, in response to a question about which team he himself considers - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan or Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, Tonoyan in particular stated: "I do not know about the existence of such teams. There is a government working with one team. " He also said that the president and the prime minister will determine whether he will continue to hold office after the presidential elections in Armenia in 2018.
Answering the question, what caused the movement of high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Defense of Armenia to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Tonoyan stressed that the employees of the defense department are highly qualified.
To note, earlier Deputy Defense Minister Ara Nazaryan was dismissed from his post by presidential decree, then he was appointed deputy minister of emergency situations by another decree of Prime Minister.
In the period from 02 to 04 September 2017 in Yerevan, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia is hosting the first International Exhibition of High Security Technologies (Safe Armenia). The exhibition is held as a complex of congress and exhibition and demonstration events for the purpose of a large-scale demonstration of high-tech, innovative developments and ready solutions that facilitate the technical re-equipment of the units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia, resolve issues of ensuring public and civil security, and promote the development of cooperation ties and business contacts between Armenian and foreign enterprises.
The honored guests of the 1st International Exhibition of High Security Technologies (there will be official delegations of about 20 countries, as well as members of the Armenian government and other heads of state bodies.
The exposition program of the exhibition will present modern samples of manufacturers and developers of rescue and safety equipment. The exposition will be deployed on the open ground and in the exhibition pavilion for more than one and a half thousand square meters, more than 40 percent of the participants of the exposition program are representatives of foreign countries.
