ArmInfo. The total turnover of over 500 IT companies in Armenia has overcome the $ 600 million threshold, Bagrat Yengibaryan, director of the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF), told a press conference on September 15, answering to the question of ArmInfo.
According to Yengibaryan, for a country like Armenia, this is an unprecedented indicator. Only in the last 7 months the sphere recorded 30-35% growth. As the expert believes, to have 3 million people and about 15,000 highly qualified specialists, and most of the countries of the world cannot solve such problems. "Looking back, I can say that even 15 years ago, when we were developing a sphere strategy, we did not dare to dream about such results, but that does not mean that we should stop on what has been achieved," Yengibaryan said.
Besides, the expert noted that today there is an unusual dynamics of IT development. It passes to a qualitatively new level. At this stage, the republic, as Yengibaryan noted, can offer the world not only an inexpensive labor force in the person of high-level experts, but also solve various tasks in the field of ICT.
To note, the jubilee - the 10th international high-tech conference "ArmTech Congress" will be held in Yerevan on September 27 and will be devoted to cyber security issues. In the fields of "ArmTech" this year it will be possible to meet many companies with a worldwide reputation, such as Microsoft, IBM, Kaspersky, Cisco, HP and others.
