Karapetyan: Armenia is ready to expand trade relations with Iran

ArmInfo. Armenia is ready to expand trade relations with Iran.According to IRNA, about it at the joint press conference with the first vice-president of Iran Ishak Jahangiri in Teheran the Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan declared. "We are ready to increase the volume of trade turnover between Iran and Armenia and remove relevant obstacles," Karapetyan said.

He also stated about Armenia's interest in the entry of Iranian companies into the Armenian market. Noting that the relations between the two countries are at a high level, the Armenian Premier said that both countries discussed bilateral cooperation on regional issues and the Karabakh conflict. Karapetyan expressed hope for further bilateral relations.

He also invited Iranian vice president to pay an official visit to Armenia.  Prime Minister of Armenia, at the invitation of the First Vice-President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Eshak Jahangiri, arrived in Iran on October 9 with a two-day official visit. As the press service of the Armenian government reported earlier, Karen Karapetyan in Tehran will meet with Iranian President Hasan Roukhani, Iranian First Vice President Eshak Jahangiri, Chairman of the Mejlis of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Larijani. Karen Karapetyan will also visit the sports club Ararat, where he is scheduled to meet with the local Armenian community, including representatives of business circles.
