The Ministry of Transport, Communications and IT of Armenia denied rumors about the revealed abuses in the department

ArmInfo. Mass media rumors that in the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technologies of Armenia following the checks of the Control Service of the President of Armenia and the Accounts Chamber of the Republic allegedly revealed abuses are untrue.

 Anahit Arakelyan, spokeswoman of the ministry, told this in an interview with ArmInfo.  The head of the press service of the Ministry of Transport confirmed the information on the inspections.  However, as indicated by the representative of the department, such checks are of a periodic nature.  "Information on alleged abuses or misappropriation of money by Vahan Martirosyan in his time as a minister is not true," she said, noting that the publications are so absurd that the department does not consider it necessary to react to them.

Previously, Armenian media reported that the Ministry of Transport was in the focus of attention of the Control Service of the President of Armenia and the Accounts Chamber of the Republic. It was noted that as a result of the inspections, various violations were revealed in the department. Referring to reliable sources, the media wrote about the abuses by Vahan Martirosyan for the year of his tenure as minister, while noting that "in fact, the current minister not only lags behind ex-head of the Ministry of Transport Gagik Beglaryan, but also improved it style of work.
