ArmInfo. Work on the creation of a joint Armenian-Russian investment fund is continuing. The Russian co-chairman of the Armenian-Russian intergovernmental commission, Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov told ArmInfo correspondent.
According to him, the fund is being created by the Russian fund of direct investments and the Armenian universal credit organization "SME Investments". At present, the Russian minister continued, the process of formation of the joint fund's capital is underway and the development of those projects that it will finance. The schedule for creating a new joint structure is not yet available. "This project will be the subject of discussions at the next meeting of the Armenian-Russian intergovernmental commission," Sokolov said.
To note, on March 15 this year, Presidents of Armenia and Russia Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin signed an agreement on the creation of this fund, which should reduce the burden on the consolidated budget of the public administration sector in the country.
