ArmInfo. By the end of 2017, Ararat promises to overfulfil the planned plan of collecting its own revenues. The governor of the Ararat region of Armenia Aramayis Grigoryan said this in the government, presenting the implementation of the instructions of Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, announced on July 29 during the meeting in the Ararat district of the republic.
Turning to the indicators in the field of agriculture, the head of the regional administration said that according to the situation, as of the results of the enlargement of sown areas and farms, the number of large land areas (with an area of 5 hectares or more) is 373 instead of last year's 280 ones. Within the framework of the construction of the Vedinsky reservoir, a program is being implemented to provide irrigation water to 8 communities in the region. Together with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and the UN office, work is underway to ensure the continuity of the pilot program for providing water to 40 hectare aquaculture farms in the Hayianist community. Within the framework of the state program for the provision of agricultural machinery in the leasing of agrarians, Eintap, Vanashen, Urtsadzor, Surenavan, Ovtashat and Azatavan purchased 10 units of equipment. Programs are also being implemented to create greenhouses (5,000 square meters), for the production of cucumbers and tomatoes and intensive gardens (3,500 square meters).
According to Aramais Grigoryan, in Ararat Marz, at the expense of the state and private sector funds, investment programs worth 72 billion AMD are being implemented. Until the end of the year, as the governor assured, 600-700 working places will be created. Thus, as Grigoryan noted, compared to 2016, investments grew by 60 billion drams. The largest investment program implemented in the region, as the head of the region pointed out, is the program for the construction of the Vedinsky Reservoir and the irrigation system. In order to provide the sown areas with irrigation water, as well as reduce the cost of agricultural products, the program of construction of the Kakhtsrashenskaya gravity irrigation system is implemented, which will provide mechanical irrigation of 1,300 hectares of land. Due to this, it will be possible to save about 436 million AMD of electricity, and the area of irrigated land will increase by 854 hectares.
Within the instructions of Prime Minister, as Grigoryan noted, the collection of own revenues has increased: Ararat Oblast has committed to allocate 20% more of its own revenues to the state treasury. For 10 months of the current year, the growth rate has already reached 23.5%. At such rates, as the governor stressed, until the end of 2017, it will be possible to overfulfil the planned plan for collecting its own revenues. The governor said that within the framework of the "Clean Armenia" program in the region there were out of 260 illegal garbage dumps remaining 19 large ones.
