President of Lebanon called for strengthening economic cooperation with Armenia

ArmInfo. The President of Lebanon, Michel Aoun, during the meeting with the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia Suren Karayan highly appreciated the Armenian-Lebanese relations, urging to strengthen them in all directions, especially in the economic sphere. ArmInfo was informed about this in the press service of the Ministry of Economy.

"The Armenians of Lebanon play an important role in strengthening relations between the two countries," Aoun said. At the same time, he called on the businessmen of Armenia and Lebanon to cooperate actively with each other.

Karayan, stressed the importance of economic cooperation and investment opportunities. "The main goal of our visit is to strengthen cooperation with our partners from Lebanese economic institutions.  We believe that the economic potential between Armenia and Lebanon is not fully realized. With our Lebanese counterpart, we agreed to develop economic cooperation in those areas where there is sufficient potential, said the Armenian minister. He presented Armenia's foreign economic cooperation and existing opportunities in target markets. The sides also discussed the possibilities of stimulating the tourism sector.
