ArmInfo. In Armenia, it is necessary to resolve the issue of monopolists, which will ensure additional revenues to the state budget of the country. Such a statement was made on October 31 at the parliamentary hearings on the draft state budget of the country in 2018, by the law maker of the "Prosperous Armenia" faction Sergei Bagratyan.
According to him, the situation in which three oil traders supply oil products to the domestic market of the republic is unacceptable, and at the same time there is no difference in their price for a single dram. It is obvious, the deputy believes, either a price collusion, or lack of competition as such.
In his turn, RA Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan noted that the rules of the game on the market should be the same for all. According to him, the entities of economic management occupying a monopoly position will be in the center of attention of the government. The Minister noted that in 2017 the major taxpayers are large companies, and this happened against a background of a significant reduction in the number of tax inspections. The government of the republic will implement its tax policy in accordance with the law, as it is well aware that the negative impacts of business entities will affect the economy of the country. The Minister noted that the platform for appeals, which, in particular, is under the patronage of the Prime Minister, works well.
And the chairman of the Committee on State Revenues Vardan Harutyunyan, in his conversation with journalists, pointed to the fact that, in spite of considerable simplification of tax legislation and administration, nevertheless, there are still subjects who shy away from paying taxes. There are taxpayers who work in the legal field, but there are also people who have great opportunities, direct economic agents to commit unlawful acts.
The Chairman of the Committee informed about the intentions of the department headed by him to organize meetings with taxpayers at various fairgrounds in order to be closer to taxpayers. "For example, in the shopping center" Malatia "there are significant volumes of shadow turnover. At the same time, taxes should be paid by everyone, regardless of the situation," the head of the Committee said. He added that tax inspections are carried out in accordance with the list of organizations that was approved in the previous year. The list included enterprises belonging to the well-known businessman, the head of the parliamentary fraction "Block Tsarukyan" Gagik Tsarukyan, and all the inspections in 2017 did not reveal serious violations of the tax legislation.
