ArmInfo. Owners of wholesale trade facilities have the opportunity to use free accounting, but they refuse to provide the opportunity. Chairman of the Committee on State Revenues Vardan Harutyunyan stated this on October 31, commenting on the protest at the parliament's walls, where the discussions on the draft state budget of Armenia in 2018, the dealers of the Arindge and Surmalu fairs are held.
According to Vardan Harutyunyan, it is impossible not to pay taxes under the guise of rallies. According to him, the other day a meeting was held with traders, where they were explained in detail the order of payment of turnover tax. "They were offered even free accounting, but they refuse it, why ask them," the head of the Committee said, adding that there are wealthy people who speculate on people's dissatisfaction, taking advantage of their difficult financial situation.
It should be noted that today the protesters of the Arindzh and Surmalu fairs are protesting at the building of the Armenian parliament, demanding amendments to the Tax Code and freeing them from unnecessary paperwork, considering it an additional tax burden. According to the participants of the action, they do not avoid paying taxes, but now the cargo will increase, and traders will be forced to involve new employees in this process. As the traders noted, the tax service employees demand the provision of a document on the movement of each imported goods, which, they say, is unnecessary paperwork, and this requires the involvement of additional workforce.
