ArmInfo. The draft budget of 2018 to save the government apparatus and implement various programs will be directed to 18.551 billion drams, which is 4.4 billion more than in 2017.
As the head of the government apparatus Vahe Stepanyan said at the budget hearings in the Armenian parliament, the increase in the budget is due to the continuation of international credit programs and the distribution of some expenses in favor of the government from the presidential apparatus. Of these funds, 5.234 billion drams will be allocated for the maintenance of the government apparatus. These funds are planned to implement 33 programs.
As Atom Janjugazyan, the chief treasurer of Armenia, said in the parliament, 590 million drams will be allocated for the maintenance of the Constitutional Court apparatus, 13.5 billion drams will be allocated to the Ministry of Justice, for which 17 programs will be implemented. Of these funds, 8.1 billion drams will be directed to the penitentiary system, 1.4 billion rubles will be allocated to the enforcement of judicial acts.
4.4 billion drams will be allocated to the Prosecutor General's Office, 5.9 billion to the Investigative Committee, 8.8 billion to the Judicial Department, 471 million drams to the State Service Committee, 1.1 billion to the Control Chamber, 1.1 billion to the Central Election Commission, and the contents of the Ombudsman's Office - 368 million drams. According to Dzhandzhugazyan, these funds are sufficient for these structures to effectively perform the tasks assigned to them.
