Tax revenues of the state treasury of Armenia from large business increased by 39.9 billion AMD in the first 11 months of 2017 - up to 483 billion AMD

ArmInfo. The tax revenues of the state treasury from large business for 11 months of 2017 as compared with the same period in 2016 increased by 39.9 billion AMD or 9% to 483 billion AMD. At the same time, Head of the Tax Inspectorate - the Office of Large and Medium Taxpayers of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia Armen Safaryan noted at the meeting with journalists, taking into account the dynamics of overpayments changes - for the reporting period they decreased by 4.7bln AMD, the tax deductions of 2017- have grown by more than 61 billion AMD or 13.8%.

According to him, for the period from December 1, 2016 to December 1, 2017, the total amount of overpayments for all types of taxes decreased by 13.7 billion AMD or by 7.3%. The tax debt for 11 months of 2017 as a result of the improvement of the tax administration decreased by 36.3% or 5.8 billion AMD.

In addition, as Armen Safaryan assured, inspections and studies by the employees of the department are carried out exclusively with risky taxpayers. This, according to a representative of the tax and customs authority, is evidence of a reduction in the number of control measures by 12.7%.

For the year of 2017, the Tax Inspectorate recorded an increase in taxes paid by taxpayers assessed as risky, as well as turnover of their sales. The growth of tax deductions from non-risk households was 7%, risky - 17.4%. Based on the results of a number of desk inspections, preventive works, as well as notifications among taxpayers, according to specified calculations, the growth of VAT payments was registered, and by the income tax for 3.9 billion AMD. During the reporting period, as Safaryan noted, the Armenian SRC recorded a reduction in the volume of taxes paid in a number of spheres. Based on the results of the index (branch-by-sector) analysis among large and medium-sized taxpayers, the tax inspection revealed a decrease in the level of tax revenues in 28 spheres by 17.9 billion AMD. In particular, during the reporting period, tax cuts were recorded in the communications sector - 5.6 billion AMD (21%), construction - 1.6 billion AMD (10.3%), construction of 1.3 billion AMD (47%). At the same time, over the 11 months of 2017, compared to the same period of last year, there was an increase in tax revenues in 55 spheres in the amount of 57.8 billion AMD. The growth was recorded, in particular, in the spheres of cigarette production - by 12.1 billion AMD (51.7%), mining industry - 12.3 billion frames (43%), gasoline imports - by 3.3 billion AMD (16.6%).
