According to him, not long ago an intergovernmental agreement was prolonged, which will continue the program "Gas in exchange for electricity", and within the framework of which work is underway to implement the project for the construction of the third Iran-Armenia power line. "Soon we will witness this event," the diplomat said, reminding that according to the available agreement Iran will receive electricity in exchange for the gas it supplies. In addition, the ambassador continued, Iran intends to expand cooperation with Armenia on swap gas supplies. "If Armenia manages to buy gas from neighboring countries, we are ready to provide our services," the diplomat said. He said that the Iranian side constantly declares its readiness to increase the volume of its gas exports to Armenia. "This issue is being discussed, and I hope that significant progress will be made in the near future on this project."
