ArmInfo. Converse Bank and HayPost have launched a joint campaign for users of Shopin service. This was shared with ArmInfo at the press office of Conversebank
"By the launch of the campaign, Converse Bank is expanding its partnership with HayPost, another entity of the group managed by Mr. Eduardo Eurnekian, the principal shareholder of the Bank, by means of offering preferential terms for several banking services to the customers making non-cash purchases via Shopin system of the postal operator", - we were told at the Bank.
Namely, within the framework of the campaign, Converse Bank offers to the customers who used Shopin service in 2017 Visa Gold and Visa Classic cards wtih 50% discount of the service fee, as well as Visa Virtual accounts with credit limit. "The credit limit of up to AMD 1 mln can be used only for the purpose of using Shopin service offered by HayPost (payment for the service of purchasing goods and delivery of the purchased goods by HayPost)", - they concluded at the Bank. Simultaneously, Converse Bank offers installment loans to the customers of several HayPost offices on competitive terms.
According to the Analytical Survey "Armenian Banks in Card Business" No. 16, prepared by IC ArmInfo, Converse Bank is included in the TOP-5 both in terms of the total number of active cards, and in terms of the number of Visa and MasterCard. By October 1, 2017, the bank increased the total number of active cards by 35.1% - to 183.8 thousand units. In the total number of active cards of the bank, Visa accounts for 28.2%, and MasterCard - for 12.5% (22.9 thousand units with an annual growth of 44.4%). The volume of plastic transactions Converse Bank increased over the 9 months of 2017 at 62% per annum to 239.1 billion drams, taking the first position on this indicator. As of October 1, 2017, the Bank has 104 ATMs and 753 own POS terminals. Converse Bank issues and also serves Visa and MasterCard on a par with local ArCa cards.
It should be reminded that Converse Bank has been operating in the Armenian market since September 1996. As of October 1, 2017, the Bank's shareholders are Advanced Global Investments LLc (hands- Eduardo Ernekian) - 80.94%, HayPost Trust Management B.V. - 14.06%, the Cathedral of the Mother See of Etchmiadzin - 5%. The Bank's branch network has 34 branches, out of which 13 are located in Yerevan, 20 - in the regions of Armenia and 1 - in the NKR.
