Iran`s Minister of Energy: Iran ready to increase gas supplies to Armenia

ArmInfo. The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to increase the volume of gas supplies to Armenia. Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian stated this in a conversation with journalists after the 15th session of the Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental commission held on February 27 in Yerevan.

According to the Minister, in the framework of the program "Gas in exchange for electricity", very good negotiations were conducted. In particular, as the head of the Iranian Ministry of Energy noted, negotiations between the Iranian and Armenian sides will be held in the near future. The Iranian side will be represented by the Iranian Ministry of Oil, and the Armenian side will be the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia. "I think in the near future information about the results of these negotiations will become public property," the minister said.
