ArmInfo. The French Development Agency (FDA) will grant Armenia a grant of up to 500 thousand euros for the preparation of the application of a single tax code. The grant agreement was signed the day before by the RA Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan, the state secretary of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, as well as the representative of the FDA.
According to the press service of the RA Ministry of Finance, the funds will be provided to the State Revenue Committee for the implementation of the program of applying a single tax code, fiscal reforms and strengthening of extra-budgetary administration.
As ArmInfo informed earlier, on March 29 the RA government approved the signing of this agreement, which envisages the development of new formats of declarations, a tax guide, simplification of the procedure for preparing tax inspectors, and dissemination of information on tax changes. It also provides assistance on assessing the impact of tax legislation, the presentation of key tax indicators, the improvement of the mechanisms for the return of VAT.
The grant will be granted within the framework of the agreement signed on November 30, 2016 on granting by the French Development Agency of a loan for budgetary assistance in the amount of 40 million euros. The agreement is aimed at implementing government reforms in the country within the framework of fiscal and social policies, ensuring environmental stability and strengthening competitiveness.
