The Armenian CB bought $ 21 million in foreign exchange market in January-February 2018

ArmInfo. The Central Bank of  Armenia bought $ 21 million in the foreign exchange market in  January-February 2018. According to the Central Bank of Armenia, in  January, $ 14 million was purchased at the rate of 481.10 AMD / $ 1,  and in February - $ 7 million at the rate of 480.45 AMD / $ 1. A year  earlier, in January-February 2017, the Central Bank in the foreign  exchange market sold $ 15 million, all this amount was in January at  a rate of 485.84 AMD / $ 1.

In the interbank market in January-February 2018,  transactions on purchase and sale for $ 117.05 million at the rate of  481.84 AMD / $ 1 were made, in particular in January - $ 58.3 million  at the rate of 482.61 AMD / $ 1 and in February - $ 58.75 million at  the rate 481,07 AMD / $ 1.

On the intra-bank market in January-February this year. it was bought  $ 656.89 million at the rate of 481.12 AMD / $ 1 and 73.9 million  euro at the rate of 588.79 AMD / 1 euro, and sold $ 658.75 million at  the rate of 482.60 AMD / $ 1 and 116.14 million euro at the rate of  594.21 AMD / 1 euro.

In total, $ 773.94 million was purchased at the exchange rate of  481.23 AMD / $ 1 in the interbank and intrabank markets, and $ 775.80  million was sold at the rate of 482.49 AMD / $ 1. And the lion's  share of dollar transactions fell on the intra-bank market - 85%.  Euro operations were carried out only on the intra- bank market  (purchase - 73.9 million euros and sale 116.14 million euros).

According to the Central Bank of Armenia, a total of $ 746.09 million  was purchased at the exchange rate of 485.71 AMD / $ 1 a year  earlier, in January-February 2017, and $ 818.89 million at a rate of  486.77 AMD / $ 1 was bought in the interbank and intrabank markets.  Euro transactions were realized only on the intra-bank market:  purchase - 75.73 million euro at the rate of 515.65 AMD / 1euro,  sales - 70.88 million euro at the rate of 519.63 AMD / 1evro. For the  entire year of 2017 in the foreign exchange market, the Central Bank  bought a total of $ 122.6 million (June-September, December) and sold  $ 22 million (January, November). The exchange currency market,  showing weak signs of life in 2017 - only $ 3.3 million  (January-March, May), since early 2018 to this day is empty. Taking  into account the exchange volumes in the compartment with the  interbank and intrabank markets of dollar transactions, the purchase  was made in 2017 by $ 5.120 billion and for sale by $ 5.490 billion,  while the euros - by 550.90 million and 738.66 million respectively  in buying and selling.
