ArmInfo. On April 7-8 at the Vanadzor Technology Center (VTC) the "Innovative Ideas for Tourism Development" hekaton was won by the Gyumri team In the fly (Fly tour), which received a cash prize of AMD 2 million from SMEDA. The second and third places were distributed among the teams from Vanadzor - Destination and Hi Traveler, which received respectively 1.2 million and 750 thousand.
The Yerevan team Octopus received a special prize from the Enterprise Incubator Fund (EIF) in the amount of AMD 1 million for the best technological solution. Answering the question of ArmInfo, EIF Executive Director Bagrat Yengibaryan said: "It was extremely difficult to make a decision, as there were many good ideas. But for us the decisive was how much this or that idea was expressed technologically. " He noted that among the submitted 123 applications, 50 teams from Yerevan, Vanadzor, Gyumri, Gavar, Sevan and other regions took part in the hekaton.
Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and IT Amalia Egoyan, responding to a question from ArmInfo, noted that the hakaton will become traditional. The events implemented by EIF in Gyumri and Vanadzor are considered to be long-term. But I believe that such hakatonos should be carried out in different directions, in particular, for the development of textile production, agriculture, etc., which will allow gradually introducing technologies into other spheres of economic activity," she said.
The jury included representatives of the Vanadzor Technology Center, the EU, the State Committee for Tourism and specialists in the sphere. Recall that, according to the terms of the hekaton within 24 hours, the team, consisting of 2 - 3 people, worked to create and develop ideas, products, solutions for the development of the tourism industry, enlisting the advice and support of the best specialists. Hekaton was held on the initiative of the Enterprise Incubator Foundation.
