ArmInfo. Minister of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia Artsvik Minasyan notes the aspiration of many investors to invest in the Armenian economy. He stated this in an interview with journalists on May 17 after the Cabinet meeting.
According to him, he does not see the risks of a possible economic recession due to the recent domestic political events in Armenia. "Moreover, today there is a reverse trend - an obvious desire of many citizens to make investments in Armenia, which means that we must prepare our infrastructures to attract new investments," he said.
As the minister noted, the amount of investments that were made this year within the framework of government assistance - provision of tax and customs benefits to business, reached about 35 billion drams. The size of foreign investments, Minasyan said, will be announced in the near future.
