ArmInfo.Russia is ready to create an Armenian-Russian investment fund. Answering the question of ArmInfo, on June 29, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky said on the margins of the 7th Russian-Armenian interregional forum.
"I learned about the readiness of the Russian Federation in the matter of creating an investment fund with Armenia, when preparing for today's trip. The Fund is a tool for rapid investment in joint projects, which will eliminate the need to constantly seek sources of funding. The question will be whether the project is profitable or not, "he explained.
According to the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the existence of such funds with other partner countries, as practice shows, sharply deepens cooperation and is very beneficial from the point of view of business development.
In this regard, V. Medinsky noted: "We filmed two films with the creative and partly economic participation of Armenian partners -" Earthquake "and" Spitak ". Every time producers in the search for a source of co-financing face a complex process, which takes a lot of time. The Ministry of Culture issued a grant for two films, and then negotiations were held with Armenian businessmen in Moscow and Russian businessmen in Armenia. "
The creation of a joint investment fund in cinematography, not necessarily large, according to the minister, would be a breakthrough for both Armenian and Russian cinematographers. "Joint production, firstly, sharply increases the number of viewers, secondly it provides access to the international market and as a result we get a profitable product", concluded V. Medinsky, noting that this issue is going to be discussed with the Prime Minister on a mandatory basis, Minister of Armenia.
