ArmInfo.The Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of the Republic of Armenia appealed to Russia with a request to increase the number of licenses for drivers carrying out irregular passenger transportations from Armenia to Russia.
Thus, the deputy head of the Ministry of Transport of Armenia Armen Pambukhchyan told Facebook that Yerevan sent a request to Moscow to expand the number of entry permits for drivers engaged in irregular passenger traffic. Pambukhchyan also promised to investigate the circumstances of the tender for regular passenger transportation and consider all complaints about this procedure. Drivers engaged in irregular passenger transportation from Armenia to Russia held a protest action on September 24 in front of the building of the Ministry of Transport in Yerevan because the Ministry stopped issuing the appropriate permits. They also expressed dissatisfaction with the results of the tender for organizing regular passenger transportation.
To recall, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technologies of Armenia reported on a new procedure for the implementation of passenger transportation from Armenia to Russia in connection with the entry into force of a new agreement between the governments of the two countries "On international road transport".
