ArmInfo. Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan said, due to which, in the domestic market, the price of gas in the conditions of its rise in price at the border will remain at the same level.
"There are different components that form the cost of gas for the domestic consumer: due to optimization, recalculation and revaluation of these components, loss review. There are various indicators that need to be revised. I think that we will find those specific points where this optimization is possible ", - said Avinyan on January 30 in an interview with journalists.
When asked how much time Gazprom Armenia is ready to subsidize the price for the end user and whether the annual period is fixed or if it's possible that the company will stop doing it at some point, the Deputy Prime Minister replied: "Negotiations are still in progress, everything becomes clear as the time. As soon as there is new information, we'll inform the public. "
To recall,Gazprom head Alexei Miller and Acting Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Mher Grigoryan, signed the supplementary agreement to the gas supply contract of Gazprom Armenia CJSC (gas distribution organization of the country, 100% of Gazprom) on December 31. Nevertheless, he assured, in 2019 the price of gas for consumers of Armenia will not change. According to him, Armenia agreed with Gazprom on preserving the domestic gas tariff. Gazprom sells gas not to Armenia, but to Gazprom Armenia, therefore our role is indirect. But we agreed with Gazprom Armenia that the gas price inside the country will not change, "said Pashinyan on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
