"Dear compatriots, I thank you for requiring checks from cash registers everywhere. Thank you for paying taxes. You pay them not to the government, but to your Homeland and your children, whose future is being built today," he wrote.
Earlier, from the rostrum of the parliament, Nikol Pashinyan said that in January-February 2019, compared with the previous year, 12.5 million more prints of cash registers were printed. "As a result, the recorded trade turnover increased by 35 billion drams. According to expert estimates, the process will continue," Pashinyan said. As a result, as the prime minister pointed out, the government is more confident about the tax collection process this year.
At the same time, Pashinyan, speaking in parliament, noted that according to the calculations of the government in 2019, the planned figures for the state budget revenues in Armenia will be exceeded by at least 40 billion drams ($ 90 million). According to him, the achieved result for the last 3 months is unprecedented. In the past, there was no such that the state budget was exceeded to such an extent.
This was achieved thanks to the active struggle of the State Revenue Committee against the shadow economy, and in this struggle repressive measures are not used. Basically, research, analysis and negotiation methods are used. Another factor contributing to the growth of tax revenues was the cooperation of citizens with government agencies. According to Nikol Pashinyan, the citizens of the country actively respond to the appeals of the government, which are aimed at combating the shadow economy. From May 2018 to the present day 65 million checks have been printed, indicating the transactions carried out. "It speaks about the interaction of citizens with the government of the country," stated the Prime Minister. According to the approved budget for 2019, in terms of economic growth at 4.9%, the consolidated budget for revenues is estimated at 1.533.6 billion drams instead of 1.333.5 billion drams in 2018, and for expenses - 1.655.2 billion drams against 1.500.5 billion drams. The deficit will be 151.6 billion drams or 2.2% of GDP.
