ArmInfo.Citizens of Armenia began to trust the financial institutions of the republic more. This was announced on May 8 at a press conference in Yerevan by the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
Thus, according to the prime minister, as of April 2019, the volume of Armenian government bonds is estimated at 6.3 billion drams. Compared to the same period the figure increased by 2.2 billion drams. "It speaks of increasing the confidence of citizens in the financial instruments of the Republic," he said. The prime minister also added that the citizens of Armenia began to voluntarily declare their income. After the velvet revolution, Armenian taxpayers - individuals began to file tax returns to the tax authority more often. Thus, according to the Prime Minister, 6323 tax returns were filed in the Armenian State Revenue Committee, against 3021 for the previous tax period. Among those who voluntarily declared their income are also representatives of show business. At the same time, as he pointed out, 1,446 criminal cases were filed for tax violations over the year. The damage inflicted on the state amounted to 89.3 billion drams, of which 32 billion drams were recovered.
