ArmInfo. The EAEU is developing steadily, opening up new opportunities for businesses and economies of our countries. This opinion was expressed by the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on May 29 at the jubilee meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council - the highest body of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), informburo.kz reports.
According to Pashinyan, it is a great honor for him to preside at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. "This year, the council celebrates two anniversaries (the 25th anniversary of the idea of the First President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, on Eurasian integration and the fifth anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on the EAEU. Ed. note)'', he said.
The Armenian Prime Minister noted that the circle of partners is expanding today, including a free trade agreement with Iran will come into force, agreements on the exchange of information have already been signed with China, and there are active negotiations with Vietnam, also with Singapore and Egypt. "And I hope that these negotiation processes will bring concrete results, and will open up opportunities," Pashinyan said.
The head of the Armenian government once again emphasized the special role of Nursultan Nazarbayev in the creation of this integration project. "25 years ago, Nursultan Nazarbayev first proposed the idea of Eurasian integration, five years ago this idea was brought to life," he noted.
"Our goal now is to work on the further development of the EAEU, to make the union more efficient, attractive to our international partners. I hope that today our decisions will contribute to development. I wish you successful work!" Nikol Pashinyan said.
The jubilee summit is chaired by Armenia.
