ArmInfo.Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev considers is normal the resolution of disputes within the Eurasian Union by appealing to the court of the EAEU, and expects the authority of this body to increase, the "Interfax" reports.
"I don't see anything bad about it. I'm generally for the full use of the judicial form. In some cases, if you can't agree or positions are incompatible, it can be anyway. In the end, you can go to the jurisdictional authority, that is, to and say: resolve our dispute, "Medvedev said in an interview with the Russia 24 television channel (RTR) on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the signing of the Treaty establishing the Eurasian Economic Union.
At the same time, Medvedev stressed "the court's decision will be authoritative only if it is immaculately, without any comments being executed by all parties, that is, the court should be the highest authority in this sense. I hope that the court of our integration association in a certain perspective will reach such a level of authority, " Medvedev said.
He acknowledged that disputes within the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council "constantly arise." "The disputes continue, this is normal. And at our last event, which took place in Armenia, we argued for quite a long time both on substantive issues and on bilateral issues," the Russian PM said. On the question of what the EAEU will be in five years, Medvedev did not rule out that its composition could expand. "We have an open alliance, and we and observers have appeared now, perhaps the composition will expand," said the Russian government. "For me, the Eurasian Union is such a form of integration of countries close in history, which leads to an improvement in the lives of our peoples. It is only in this regard that I look at the future of the Eurasian Union," he added.
