ArmInfo. In Armenia, work began on the light overhaul of the road leading to Azerbaijan.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia, work is carried out on the highway of interstate significance M-4 in the direction of Yerevan - Sevan - Ijevan - Azerbaijan.
The process of work is monitored directly by the general director of the state non-profit organization Armavtodor, Gor Avetisyan.
As part of the program, asphalt pavement is being replaced and potholes are being repaired. In order to ensure safe road traffic, the specified road sections are provided with appropriate road signs.
Earlier, the RA government decided to allocate an additional 7.4 billion drams for the repair of roads. Funds have been generated from the additional tax revenues of the state budget. Of these, 3.55 billion drams will be directed to overhaul of state roads, and 4.85 billion drams to partial repairs. As a result, 12 sections covering a total length of 20 km will be repaired (overall overhaul) and 78.59 km (light overhaul). In general, in 2019, 320 km of roads will have to be repaired, some of works started from May 15, and another from June 15.
