ArmInfo.On September 11-13, the 22nd Forum of Macroeconomic Modeling of Central Banks on the theme "Advancing the Frontiers of Monetary Policy" will be held at the CBA's Training and Research Center in Dilijan.
As the Central Bank of Armenia press service told ArmInfo, the purpose of the Forum is to provide an opportunity for those implementing macroeconomic policies and academic circles to discuss current problems of the models used in policy development and new directions of development.
The main topics of the Forum will be inflation targeting strategy, "non-standard" monetary policy, the role of financial indicators in the implementation of monetary policy, as well as other relevant issues on modeling macroeconomic policies.
Speakers at the Forum include: Berkeley Institute lecturer Maurice Obstfeld, international expert Douglas Laxton, member of the Council of the Czech National Bank, Tomas Holub, and lecturer at Tel Aviv University Assaf Razin.
Representatives of the International Monetary Fund, European Central Bank, national and central banks of Austria, Canada, Italy, Latvia, Norway, New Zealand, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Georgia, Belgium, Finland, France, Spain, Hungary, Poland, the Russian Federation, Chile, the Philippines, will take part in the 22nd forum of macroeconomic modeling, as well as scientists and teachers from a number of prestigious international universities.
According to the source, this is the second such forum to be held in Armenia. In September 2016, a forum of macroeconomic modeling was held in Dilijan on the topic "Actual Problems of Macroeconomics".
