ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced an unprecedented reduction in losses and expenses in the republic's gas transportation system. "According to the data for the first quarter of 2019, losses and expenses for own needs in the gas transportation and distribution system of Armenia turned out to be at the ever recorded minimum level - 4.9% of the volume of imported gas or 58.4 million cubic meters," he wrote Nikol Pashinyan on his Facebook page.
At the same time, as noted by the prime minister, compared with last year, this indicator decreased by almost 1 percentage point. During the reporting period, Armenia also recorded the lowest loss rate in electric distribution networks - 7.2%. So, in 2018, the losses amounted to 8.2%, in 2017 - 9.1%, in 2016 - 10.7%. "It is noteworthy that the electricity consumption in January-June of this year compared with the previous year increased by 6.3%, reaching 2988.2 million kWh," said Pashinyan.
