ArmInfo. At the final stage, construction and installation works are underway for the overhaul of the Vardenis-Jermuk gas trunkline, which Gazprom Armenia CJSC is carrying out as part of the Overhaul Plan for 2019. This was reported by the press service of the company.
According to the source, the gas pipeline with a diameter of 325 mm and a length of 45.75 km was put into operation in 1977. In 2017, the company's specialists conducted a comprehensive diagnostic examination of the Vardenis-Jermuk gas pipeline, based on the results of which comprehensive work is carried out. In particular, the gas pipeline is undergoing major repairs with the pipe being replaced in sections with a total length of 1.8 km, anti-corrosion insulation coatings with a total length of 5.02 km are being restored with pipe rejection if necessary, and crossings through roads in four sections of the gas pipeline are being repaired.
In addition, in order to increase the reliability and uninterrupted gas supply to consumers in Armenia, as well as in preparation for the autumn-winter period, complex construction, installation and repair work was carried out at the gas distribution system facilities.
