Minister of Territorial Administration and Development of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan at a meeting with a delegation led by the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Armenia Dmitry Maryasin praised the UNDP efforts for balanced development of the regions of the republic, strengthening of infrastructures and improvement of the living standards of the population. As the Ministry's press service told ArmInfo, Papikyan expressed his conviction that joint projects continue to bear fruit.
In turn, Maryasin pointed out the importance of continuing mutually complementary joint projects and presented the project to reduce investment risks aimed at efficient energy modernization of buildings. According to him, residents of high-rise buildings have a problem of saving energy, reducing energy costs, which can be solved through cooperation within the framework of this program, which is planned to be implemented in Yerevan and the country's regions, thereby improving the situation with the country's energy security, environment and public health.
At the meeting, agreements were reached on further cooperation on energy conservation programs.
