ArmInfo.Starting next year, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia raises the threshold of credit guarantees for beginning SME representatives from the previously existing 5 million drams to 7 million drams. RA Deputy Minister of Economy Naira Margaryan announced this at the December 20 press conference.
The conditions, she said, remained the same - the annual interest rate on credit guarantees is 10%, and the repayment term is 5 years. , Margaryan noted, noting that, as part of an agreement with the latter, the risks would be shared equally (50/50), whereas earlier the Ministry of Economy took all the risks. This year, as the deputy minister noted, about 74 companies received credit guarantees in the amount of 5 million drams (on average). Next year, according to Margaryan, it is planned to triple both the number of SMEs and the portfolio of loan guarantees. "As of the current year, the portfolio is 1.8 billion drams," she said.
At the same time, the deputy minister indicated that the main guideline is aimed at SMEs operating in the regions of Armenia, with rare exceptions. If the metropolitan project proves to be interesting, the Ministry of Economy is ready to include it in the list of beneficiaries. , she noted.
