Within the framework of the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) program, in 2020 in the Armavir Region, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia will launch a "Land Bank" pilot project. Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Artak Kamalyan shared this in an interview with ArmInfo correspondent.
In particular, according to him, the concept of the "Land Bank" project involves through the state to connect the agricultural producer and the investor who is interested in leasing land. , the deputy minister explained.
According to Kamalyan, the state in this transaction will take on the role of a guarantor - first of all, for the investor, so that the landlord does not violate the agreement and does not require land back before the deadline, and, of course, for the farmer in terms of collateral according to the rental agreement.
In addition, the deputy minister said that a concept for the efficient use of land and some bills that will be submitted to the RA government early next year have already been developed.
