ArmInfo. The private IT sector in Armenia is ready to implement a free educational program for servicemen who received disabilities during the Artsakh war. Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Hakob Arshakyan said this at a government session on January 21. He noted that this program will be carried out with the aim of re-profiling the latter in the IT sector.
At the same time, he added that the Ministry of High-Tech Industry will soon come up with a similar initiative. In this vein, Arshakyan recalled that in connection with the spread of coronavirus in the past year, the department has already launched a similar program -"Programming Basics", which provided for the reprofiling of citizens of various specialties in the IT sector. In the current conditions, according to Arshakyan, the Ministry considers it expedient to involve in this program people who have received disabilities as a result of military operations.
"Thanks to this, our servicemen will be able to re-profile in the IT sector, which will allow them to have their own income in the in the future," he said.
To recall, yesterday, during a meeting at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated that the state, in addition to assisting in issues of prosthetics and awarding a group of disabilities to servicemen, is obliged to resolve the issue of further development and education of the latter.
