Armenian IT company Krisp managed to attract $ 9 million from  international investors

ArmInfo.  The Armenian IT  company Krisp managed to attract $ 9 million from international  investors, Hakob Arshakyan, Minister of High-tech Industry of  Armenia, wrote on his Facebook page.

He said that last year the company attracted investments for $ 5  million, having developed an application that allows you to  neutralize unnecessary noise during conversations through servers  such as Viber, WhatsApp, Zoom, Skype, etc., using artificial  intelligence.

`` Especially during the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the  company received a new development opportunity and entered into new  contracts with world famous companies. We congratulate the team and  wish them new successes, "the minister noted.

Meanwhile, it is worth noting that Krisp Technologies, Inc. has  Armenian roots, but it itself is registered and operates in the  California city of Berkeley.

It should be reminded that earlier Hakob Arshakyan reported that in  2020 Armenian start-ups that have research centers and create  appropriate products managed to attract $ 50 million in investments  from foreign markets. At the same time, he said that the turnover of  companies operating in the sphere of high technologies in Armenia  increased over the past year by 20.6%, amounting to 198 billion  drams. According to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of  Armenia, the revenue of the entire sphere of information and  telecommunication technologies (ICT) in 2020 reached 318.1 billion  drams (about $ 650.6 million), exceeding the indicator of a year ago  by 2.8%. This general decline in growth dynamics is mainly due to the  drop in revenues for the country's telecom operators.
