ArmInfo. The EAEU is in discussions with the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) to form a fundamentally new model of monetary and financial regulation in the world. This was stated by Minister for Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Doctor of Economics, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, ex-Minister of Foreign Trade of the Russian Federation Sergey Glazyev during the video bridge Moscow - Bishkek - Minsk - Yerevan - Nur-Sultan.
He noted that, first, it is necessary to develop a common model of a new settlement world currency in digital format as part of the conjugation of the EAEU and the One Belt - One Road initiative, using the potential of the SCO, which would be used exclusively in international relations. "This currency must be stable, transparent, fair, protected from all sorts of sanctions," he said.
The Minister said that this issue will be discussed on May 26 at the Eurasian Economic Forum
