ArmInfo. The Persian Gulf-Black Sea transport corridor project is one of the key issues on the Armenian-Iranian agenda, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir- Abdollahian stated at a news conference held jointly with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan on October 20 as he answered a question as to what steps are being taken to involve other countries in the project.
"We are of the opinion that, given India's role, including in this project, we should form a trilateral platform to achieve our goals in the context of this road. To have more influence in constructing this important corridor," he said.
In his turn, Mr Mirzoyan gave assurances that Armenia is concerned with the Persian Gulf-Black Sea transport corridor. "And like Iran and Bulgarian, we have signed a preliminary agreement. I think the corridor will be of interest to India as well, and we will be able to put the idea into practice," he said.
